Today we’re featuring Rachel McIntire who is the Visual Arts Department Chair and teaches high school.

Rachel has over a decade of nonprofit management and curriculum design experience as the founder of Break Arts, an international arts and education collaborative working to inspire young people around the world to co-author the stories of their lives; the group partners with schools and communities to expand notions of literacy and narrative through text, image and performance projects.

We chat about her experience in teaching the arts and its direct relationship and importance with the STEM/ STEAM movement in education. We find out how she gets organized and maintains a balance to help her creativity and workflow.
