Women have been told for centuries to be the perfect embodiment of a female - quiet, polite, submissive, etc. Basically, seen but not heard. And it’s interesting to consider how this leads to some issues in awkwardness for women today, such as being too afraid to be rude to men or too timid to be a powerhouse at work.
