MGM created the Stargate Superfan panel in 2019, which brought together 10 fans from around the world with the hopes that this group would assist in shaping the future of the franchise internally at the studio. The studio ended up changing direction later that year, but the group has elected to stay together, keeping in touch regularly to this day.
