  • 3 things to keep in mind about organizing your home:

    • Create systems in your home. Where in your house do things get cluttered the fastest? Systems create a process for keeping these areas tidy and functional.
    • Figure out your drop zone and command center. Drop zones are an area near your main entryway where you can store bags, shoes, and other things that you might need as you run out the door. Command centers are the place where you can keep the family calendar, mail, and packages. It is the go-to place for info about the household.
    • There are two approaches you can take for that first step in tackling your home organization. 1) You can focus on the spaces that stress you out the most/ have the biggest impact on your life. This can take a long time and be overwhelming. 2) Start with a small space, like a junk drawer. This is less overwhelming and can give you that quick win to boost your confidence to get you through the bigger projects.
