In 2004, Touchstone Pictures claimed they made a King Arthur film grounded with realism and historical accuracy. In reality, they created one of the most boring takes on Arthurian legend with King Arthur. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, this film stars Clive Owen, Keira Knightley, Mads Mikkelsen, and Joel Edgerton — before any really carried any star power. 

While it’s a lofty goal to present a historical King Arthur, this film made us crave the fantastical. The characters weren’t likable, and there are hardly any memorable moments to set this film apart.

It’s so boring, that we kept getting lost in other discussions. We also discuss Manchester By the Sea, Akira, Highlander, and the Star Wars Prequels, as well as movie-to-video game adaptations.
