A twofer!  Charley and Tony hope you don't get too spooked this October despite our double-dose of scary coverage.  First up, 本多猪四郎 (Ishirō Honda) threatens earth with ominous star GORATH (妖星ゴラス, Yōsei Gorasu, 1962).  It's more like a blob than you'd think.

Next, Charley watches MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER (John Landis, 1983) for the first time.  She's got a lot to say about this one and, despite some speculation that it was Thriller-filler to avoid bedtime, she's got some substantive arguments to make about the music video's narrative structure.
