  • Take projects that make you feel good about how you spend your time.
  • If it’s not the right fit, explain why it won’t work but offer a middle ground that will work for you.
  • Define your value first before getting into any negotiation and have them define their success and how they want to get there. 
  • Make sure to have the space to think rather than putting up a package on the spot to avoid devaluing yourself.
