“It means there's a certain level of vulnerability that you have to allow. If I don't know Cass, and I come up to her in the studio, and my desire is to create deep, meaningful connections while I'm there – I have to be willing to put myself at risk for her to not like me, for her to not accept me. I have to be willing to be that vulnerable. Which means there are some layers of that protection mechanism that I have to willingly dismantle."
