This one comes after a few weeks of battling my inner brat, who didn’t want to write or edit a podcast – quite fitting.
Since the episode is a little extra info heavy, I’ll keep this short and just share some resources and one final thought.

What I wish someone told me about Inner Child work before I started:
* it’s really uncomfortable. What I didn’t share was the many times it got ugly. The times I have failed to set boundaries even when I knew I needed to. The times I’ve held my breath and braced myself through conversations with a parent, friend, or coworker.
* as uncomfortable as these moments will continue to be - they are nothing compared to how avoiding it eats away at me. Once you know there’s a way through, I think you loose your patience to limp the long way around.
* If I’m noticing the discomfort or the avoidance, it means I’m not numbing my feelings, and that’s the real achievement.
Much Love, Riley
