Everyone wants to love themselves but standing in front of a mirror (naked) saying positive affirmations doesn't always do the trick. Awesome for you if it has worked, but for me, I believe self-esteem has to start with acceptance. Not accepting physical features we don't think are attractive or personality traits we are not fond of, but truly accepting our life, in its current state, all around us, completely "as is". When we can accept "what is" it opens us up to the recognition that everything emanates from nothing and leads us to an exploratory chapter of asking questions and gaining experiences that point us towards who we are and who we want to be. From there we can begin our journey to embracing ourselves and understanding our significance.
