We spoke in the previous episode about the difference between leadership and management and how both are needed within an organization, and both skills should be mastered by any person in a managerial or leadership position.

Today, we’ll explore some of the management principle to be respected and applied to get the desired output from the managed team.

Understand the difference between Managing, Micro Managing and not Managing

Look at the team, and and yourself within it from outside the frame.

Know your people to the maximum, the more you know them, the better you deal with them and the higher is the performance.

Be very clear when assigning responsibilities within the team you manage.

Your team members are different, don’t treat them the same way, treat them appropriately.

Change your attitude, between being the week and being the strong in the room.

Hold yourself accountable, and appreciate those holding you accountable.

Have a clear communication of your plans, and implement a clear metric to follow up your progress

Be a model when you’re you’re not able to handle your responsibilities and Escalate, to encourage your people to do the same.
