When my oldest kid was a toddler, I learned that it was a B-A-D idea to take him grocery shopping.
Going to the grocery store went from being my least favorite chore to “the thing I swear I will never, ever do again with this 2 year old.”
The day he put on his Academy Award winning performance for Most Loud, Tantrumy, Candy-Deprived Child in History was the last day he and I bonded in the cashier’s line for a verrry long time.
It’s crazy how kids try to get what they want by begging, pleading, whining, and throwing embarrassing fits in public…
Because it rarely ever works out in their favor.
As adults, we know that misbehaving isn’t the way to get what we want.
But even when we aren’t acting like a bunch of outta control toddlers, we often get in the way of our own happiness – without realizing it.
We stomp on the brakes and unintentionally hold ourselves back…
Rather than hitting the gas to get what we really want – so much faster and easier.
So what are we doing that’s slowing down our own happiness?
And how can we get what we want without so much effort?
It all comes down to gratitude and abundance.
And it’s pretty simple.
