Hans Struzyna grew up in the Seattle area and is one of the nation’s most accomplished rowers. He’s the very definition of a team player: He competed as a Team USA athlete at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, earned a spot on the national US Rowing team (representing it at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships), and was a two-time collegiate National Champion with the University of Washington. There he earned a BA in Business and focused on entrepreneurship. Through rowing, he has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia, although now he makes his home in Alameda.

“Contacts don’t always equal to contracts.” – Hans Struzyna
“I think building out that network is probably your fastest way to get to the education and get to where you want. Because if that person can’t help you or doesn’t know the answer, then they’re probably gonna point you in the direction of someone else that they know, especially if you came at them at a really positive value-adding way in the first place.” – Hans Struzyna
“Find out where you’re good at and figure at where [the] intersection of your passion and your unique abilities lie. And use that as a way to leverage yourself into conversations.” – Hans Struzyna
