If the nineties brought us one thing we're grateful for, it's a never ending supply of teen stars. This week's film, I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) cashed in on teen leads with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah (Michelle) Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe. 

After Scream brought the slasher film back to the mainstream in 1996, studios wanted to cash in on what they thought made it great. Hot stars and a catchy title. That's about where the similarities end with this movie, though.

I Know What You Did Last Summer is fun to watch for the dreamy stars and nostalgia, but it is a dissatisfying, cheap-thrill horror film. Maybe the cleverly titled I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) can redeem it?
