Hey what’s up everybody, this is Karim Amri. Welcome to Coaching Secrets Podcast.

After exploring the different levels of leadership in the previous episodes, today we’ll talk also about leadership, but from a different angle, we’ll explore and talk about the different leadership styles.

Yes, there’s not on fit all style or size when it comes to leadership, there’s different styles and that’s what we’ll talk about today and tomorrow.

The Commander/ Autocrat

This leader demands immediate compliance, equipped with high drive for achievement and with self-control. This leadership style works best during crisis and challenges, it’s also one of the best styles when dealing with problem employees.

The commander style is having an overall negative impact, and can be summarized in one phrase: “Do what I tell you to do”

The Visionary

This leader lays out big – picture concepts and vision and mobilize people towards them, he always thinks long term goals.

Equipped with high self-confidence, as a change catalyst, this leader works best when clear direction is needed as well as during changes time, when new vision is needed.

The visionary is having a very positive impact in his environment and his style can be summarized in one phrase: “Come with me”

The Affiliate

This leader creates harmony and builds emotional bonds. Equipped with high EQ, he’s expert in building relationships and connections.

Whether during stressful times, or team collaboration issues, the affiliate leader is highly needed and work best.

The affiliate is having a positive impact on his environment and his style can be summarized in one phrase: “People come first”
