Hey what’s up everybody, this is Karim Amri. Welcome to Coaching Secrets Podcast.
We talked yesterday about the visionary, the commender and the affiliate styles of leadership, and we explored how different the styles are, today we’ll explore the democrat, the pacesetter and the coach styles.
The Democrat
This leader key word is collaboration. The democrat creates agreements and deals through participation , equipped with his communication skills, sense of collaboration and team leadership.
This leader work best when getting inputs form valuable employees or team members. The Democrat brings a positive impact to his environment and his style can be summarized in one phrase: “What do you think?”
The Pacesetter
This leader set high standards for performance. With his sense of initiative and high drive to achieve, the pacesetter is at his best when working with motivated and competent team toward quick results or short-term goals.
This style can be summarized in one phrase: “Do as I do now” which is bringing a negative impact to his environment.
The Coach
The coach is a people developer. With a high sense of empathy and great self-awareness this leader is expert in helping people discover their potentials and improve their performance. The Coach leader helps employees develop long term Strength.
This leader impact is very positive in his environment, and his style can be summarized in one phrase: “What do you think about this?”
When coaching executives or leaders within an organization it’s highly valuable to identify their leadership style, this information is important not only for the coach, but for the coachee himself and his team and those interacting with him.
This may bring lots of clarification to many behaviors and improve the communication and connection between the executives or managers and their teams.
