In this episode, we talk with Beth about:
Beth Hillman is the founder of Beth Hillman Coaching. When her fifteen-year-old son went to wilderness, Beth realized he wasn’t the only one who needed a major reset. She was a wreck, feeling completely lost and scared, and feeling change for either of them was impossible. Beth’s desire to learn better parenting techniques motivated her to become a certified Life Coach, facilitator of Arbinger’s Living With an Outward Mindset seminar, and certified Integrative change coach.
The principles and skills learned and applied to her parenting had a massive, life-altering impact on her, her family, and especially her wilder-kid. Beth is living proof that relationships can be rebuilt through the power of self-awareness, emotional accountability, and consistent parenting.
In 2019, she became the Parent Seminar Teacher at a wilderness therapy program. She loved spending time with families in the wilderness, coaching and supporting parents as they were reunited with their teens midway through the program.
Following this beloved stint in the wilderness, she was recruited to become the Parent and Family Program Director at a residential treatment center. While there, she implemented, tested, and improved her original parent coaching program, bringing education, experience, and empathy to even more families.
Beth is passionate about helping parents embody self-awareness, emotional resiliency, relationship accountability, and conscious discipline. She teaches these skills and helps parents apply them to their own situations, bringing hope and possibilities to families through her coaching practice.
