He said that she is in I C U and is under observation. She was taken off the ventilator last week. Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy in the first week of January after she contracted Covid. The 92-year-old singer was hospitalized on January 11 after testing positive for Covid-19. Known as the nightingale of India, she is a recipient of India’s highest civilian honor Bharat Ratna. She has also been honored with the Padma Bhushan, the Padma Vibhushan, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and multiple National Film Awards.
