What if you woke up and days or weeks went by.  You weren't in a coma and you're waiting for someone to tell you it's just a bad dream.  Ritchie has dissociative identity disorder and is in the process of learning about himself all over again.  It's a disorder characterized by the presence of two or more distinct  personality states.  He, bravely, wants people to understand him better as he gets to understand himself.  We definitely also have time to find out how much he loves Titanic as well:)
