When you think of self love, what’s the image that comes to mind? Social media will have you believe that it’s sitting in meditation surrounded by crystals or splurging on a massage, but the reality of self love is so much deeper than that.
Today, I’m talking about all things self love with chronic illness advocate, digital creator and the founder of Chronicon, Nitika Chopra. Nitika has battled with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis for most of her life, and she’s dedicated to helping other people living with chronic illnesses elevate their lives. As she works to heal the physical, spiritual and mental suffering that her diagnosis entails, she continues to develop a deep discipline of self love.
Nitika and I connect on the struggles that we’ve experienced to express our feelings and include our families in our exploration around healing. Part of her inspiration to start Chronicon was to create a community where people living with chronic illnesses had the space to connect and live without judgment. Through the online platform, members can attend weekly events and interact with daily content that highlights the real and challenging work around self love.
Listen to today’s episode to learn more about how Nitika is changing the conversation around chronic illness and self love.
