Hey there!
Been quite a while since a new episode was released...
I've been thinking a lot about what it means to be awake and aware, about the role of emotional responsibility in our lives, and, about how much power we have to impact the world around us.
If everything is connected, what then? What are the implications for our lives?
If we are all part of the same ecosystem, in which the choices we make are never neutral, what choices will we choose to make?
There is a time where we are called to do our inner work, solely to free ourselves, to stop ourselves living in perpetual fight or flight, shedding shame and fear…
There is also a time when other blind spots gets revealed.
In Peru, I had a big ol' blind spot shown to me. Now, a few weeks later, the insights and experiences I had in Peru have settled inside me, and I don't think I can justify closing my eyes anymore to the ways in which I am affecting and contributing to the whole.
There's a host of questions that come with that shift, including:
I recognise that these questions open uncomfortable doors. Part of me doesn't want to rethink everything. It means effort. To be crystal clear, I am not implying or suggesting that you need to be asking these questions. We're all on a personalised journey, and what I've lived through recently is a very personal awakening. But I do want to invite you to listen and to see if anything I've shared resonates.
I offer up the possibility that my and your choices matter and an invitation to begin to explore if there is a one-degree shift you'd like to make in your life—perhaps in your purchasing choices, but also perhaps in your self-care.
I encourage you to let this be fun. It's an exciting topic!
Let's have the conversation about this.
