“Intuitive Eating” is a huge buzzword in the health and wellness space, but what does it actually mean? In this episode, Victoria Yates is helping us dig deep into our internal beliefs about food and the messaging that keeps us stuck in restrictive diets, obsessive eating habits, and unhealthy relationships with food.     • One of the most important steps towards intuitive eating is unpacking the current core beliefs. We pick up a lot of thoughts and beliefs around food in our lives, and we can ditch a diet mentality by addressing these head-on.
    • Another big step to healing your relationship with food is understanding there are no “good” or “bad” foods. Food is just neutral, and removing the labels of “good” vs. “bad” helps you start to distinguish between foods you really enjoy vs. foods that you don’t enjoy eating.
    • A lot of food-related issues we might have aren’t food-related at all. You might be experiencing struggles with perfectionism, comparison, and self-worth and using food as a coping mechanism for those things.
