Here's a bold claim: Human beings long for renewal. We ache for justice for victims like George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery; we cry for healing in the after-effects of Covid, we long for endangered species to be replenished on the earth. Because Jesus conquered death, God has the power to renew ALL things. Even in the midst of our right-now sorrows, we can rejoice that he's moving the whole world (our relationships, our broken hearts, all of creation) toward a new beginning.
