He has been named as one of the top physicians by Atlanta Magazine, every year since 2005. In May of 2009, Dr. Scherz founded the physician group, Docs 4 Patient Care, which has subsequently become one of the most prominent physician groups in championing sensible healthcare reform. He was a featured speaker on a healthcare panel at CPAC in 2010. He has had 2 Wall Street Journal opinion pieces published in 2010 and others featured in Real Clear Politics and other online publications. Dr. Barbour graduated manga cum lauded from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1996 and has been in private practice since 2002. He utilizes stem cell and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and is a pioneer in hip arthroscopy. Dr. Barbour is fellowship-trained in sports medicine (Palo Alto medical foundation). He was a 1988 collegiate All-American rugby Player and co-captain of the National Champion UC Berkeley rugby team.
