DETAILS:
This is part 2 of our previous episode on purity culture. Previously we discussed the ways purity culture has given us a false sense of sexuality. This week, we are continuing the conversation on purity culture and the way we talk about sex in the church. Purity culture has often left men and women alike feeling ashamed of their bodies and their individuality. Let's change the way we look at purity culture! We want to change the conversation from something that has been used inadvertently to instill shame and guilt into something that embraces honesty and allows room for open discussion. There is something powerful about being able to freely discuss our emotions and experiences with one another.

DEFINITION:

WEEKLY QUESTION/s
• What are some small steps that each of us can take to change this conversation for the better in our Christian communities?
• How can we change the way teach sex education to children as well as young adults?
• How can we show people that sexuality makes up part of their identity by God and to not be afraid of talking about their bodies and experiences?
