With a rocky start in college football, Steve eventually made it to playing at the University of Kentucky. Being a competitive athlete for most of his life at some degree led to Steve now helping other athletes develop the physical and psychological performance aspect of their game using sports science to reach and surpass their goals.

Who is Steve Borden?

Steve wrapped up his collegiate football career at the University of Kentucky in 2015 & spent the next several years bouncing in and out of NFL training camps / try outs, ultimately never landing on a roster. However, during his time at Kentucky, he had significant exposure to the field of sports science through athlete tracking technologies. He leveraged that experience to acquire a position at VALD, where he spent 3 years working with pro sports teams & special forces groups to monitor athlete / warfighter performance. In 2021, VALD launched a sister company called SAGA (a direct to consumer health technology brand), which he now manages. Additionally, he is interested in practical strategies for overcoming fear & stagnation, so he discuss those topics both solo and with amazing guests on his own podcast.

He is married to his beautiful wife, Giselle, and has one son, Harper.
