The word that can range everywhere from a genuine apology to a catchword for when you’re not sure what else to say.
As empaths + HSPs, it can become too much of a staple in our vocabularies. And that’s not too surprising.
People-pleasing is a trap that empaths + HSPs can all too easily fall into. After all, you absorb other people’s feelings, wants, and needs, so it can be easy to do whatever it takes to keep them happy.
And with that comes the chronic apologizing.
Chronic apologizing is different from saying sorry when you messed up, did something that hurt someone, etc. This is apologizing for basically everything… the weather, a loved one's bad day that you had nothing to do with, a bad meal at a restaurant, someone else bumping into you, and literally anything else that is out of your control and you had no part in.
