While the Bible is the most authoritative reason, this is another reason abolitionists are against incremental, pro-life

legislative efforts. Also in this episode, if there is organized opposition against abolitionism, that does not

necessarily mean abolitionists are wrong in their tactics, though some Christians will use the opposition of the heathen

to discredit the tactics of the abolitionists.
