We have been fed this romantic notion about someone ‘completing’ you. Who remembers the famous line from Jerry Maguire – “You complete me.” That is the kind of love that we are sometimes looking for – someone who completes us. 

But that's not true. The only person who can ever complete you is you. The only person who can give you the love that you deserve is you.
