After three weeks of heat, sweat, good food and some interesting people, I made it back in one piece. Not all is good though. Some impressions were anything but good. The Philippines is not what I would call a good place to visit. In it's current state it has become far too dangerous for tourists to explore by them selves. Theft has increased dramatically since Covid, so did poverty. Beggers nearly on every street corner asking for money. Many kids too.

Even though you might bump into friendly people from time to time, it is just not a place for a relaxing vacation. Life is damn hard in the Philippines and you see it everywhere. If you have other options, take them
