  • At least six people were fatally shot by officers across the United States in the 24 hours after jurors reached a verdict in the murder case against Chauvin on Tuesday. The roll call of the dead is distressing:
    1. A 16-year-old girl in Columbus, Ohio.
      1. An oft-arrested man in Escondido, California.
      2. A 42-year-old man in eastern North Carolina.
      3. An unidentified man in San Antonio.
      4. Another man, killed in the same city within hours of the first.
      5. A 31-year-old man in central Massachusetts.
