My 17-year-old daughter and I discovered a hidden benefit of homeschooling when we watched a movie recently. The movie included a scene of some public school boys in a school locker room spreading rumors about a female classmate. It made me remember some of the vile rumors that spread like wildfire in my schools growing up. And, it made me exceedingly grateful that we homeschool as I’ve realized the strength of character that’s allowed to develop in the home that is constantly under attack in schools.
