In an interview recorded November 13, 2018 at Writers at the Wrecking Bar, Alison talks to Paula Saunders about her debut novel The Distance Home. The book is now available in paperback and examines one South Dakota family and what Paula calls the "small violences" that our culture often causes us to inflict on the people closest to us.
