Our adventurers look inside themselves and are surprised by what they find. They start the episode by talking about what rules they will enact once they seize power. They then discuss the movie American Beauty by Sam Mendes (15:10). After breaking down the movie, they talk about their impressions of the movie (20:15) and ponder about the theme of the movie (22:30) and how each character explores it: Lester (22:45), Carolyn (23:25), Angela (29:14), Jane (33:25), Ricky (33:54) and Col. Fitts (34:51). They then discuss a few deleted scenes and their meanings (40:06) and for the first time, they rank the movie on the Peter Scale! (44:25). As usual, they close things off by introducing next week’s subject - Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys (44:59).
