Monique Marie, actress, songwriter and singer from the Bay Area shows her AMAZING voice welcoming you to today's show. Monique has experienced her own share of ups and downs in life, which she openly sings about in her song "Land of the Living". 

I asked her about how she overcame hard times - being homeless, witnessing her mother's struggles as a young single mother, loving a man with addiction - finding strenght  and encouragement in Psalm 91 and therapy in music. Monique is currently working on her own album and playing MeShay in the Rap Comedy "16 Bars the Movie".
