Shannon Huffman Polsoln grew up in Alaska with a military father. She became one of the first women to fly the Apache attack helicopter in the US Army. In her book “North of Hope”, she travels back home to Alaska to retrace her father and stepmom’s last days before a grizzly bear killed them.
