Introduction – 3 slides
1) PREPARE myself.
For the rest, brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the might of his strength. Put on the panoply of God, that ye may be able to stand against the artifices of the devil: Ephesians 6:10-11 (Darby)
· STRENGTHEN myself.
"19and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might" (Ephesians 1:19, ESV)
2) KNOW my enemy.
"12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12, ESV)
· My real enemy – EVIL spiritual forces.
They are…
· POWERFUL
· SCHEMERS
3) Take a STAND!
"13Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." (Ephesians 6:13, ESV)
4) SOLDIER UP!
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:13 (NIV)

· Shoes – FIRMNESS that comes from knowing Christ; readiness to share the faith

· Shield – God's PROTECTION
"16In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;" (Ephesians 6:16, ESV)

"8But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation." (1 Thessalonians 5:8, ESV)
· Sword of the Spirit – God's WORD; the Spirit giving us the right words
"17…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God," (Ephesians 6:17b, ESV)
"19When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. 20For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you." (Matthew 10:19–20, ESV)
5) Pray it DOWN!

6) Pray for my SPIRITUAL LEADERS.
"19and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak." (Ephesians 6:19–20, ESV)
