Tom Molloy, Director of Public Affairs and Communications at Trinity College in Dublin, former Group Business Editor with Independent News and Media and a former editor of the Kilkenny People Newspaper joined John to chat about Trinity College and the recent visit from EU Commissioner for Research, Science & Innovation Mariya Gabriel , Tom discusses the younger generation and how they are coping with the current times, as well as sharing some of his thoughts around the upcoming US Election.

This week is our final instalment of the Taste Local Campaign where over the last number of weeks John Purcell has been meeting some of the producers across Carlow and Kilkenny, hearing the stories behind their business, the impact of Covid and their plans for the future. This week John was joined by James Malone of Malone Fruit Farm in Ballon and Bart Pawlukojc of Arán Artisan Bakery & Bistro.

Brid O' Connell, CEO of Guaranteed Irish spoke with John about the importance of buying Irish and supporting local and their recently launched website www.guaranteedirishgifts.ie, Brid also shared some interesting statistics around online shopping with Ireland being one of the biggest online shopping communities in the world per capita!

Covid has been an extremely challenging time for many, with work lives and personal lives having been changed dramatically. Personal Wellness coach Caroline Cunningham joined John to discuss some practical tips on coping with the strains of uncertainty, anxiety, lack of focus and general negative and unhealthy feelings that are all too common during these difficult Covid times.
