  2. Listen to her needs and feelings.
  3. Learn all you can about your baby’s needs in advance.
  4. Continue to love and lead the rest of your family.
  5. Look to God on behalf of your entire family.

    📚 Congratulations, You’re Gonna Be a Dad! What’s Ahead from A to Z for First-Time Fathers, by Paul and Pam Pettit.

    Here’s what I like about this book and why I’d get it for a first-time dad:

    1. It’s written in a conversational, easy-to-read style.
    2. It’s designed to be picked up and used as a reference as needed, not as a sit-down-and-read-through-in-its-entirety volume.
    3. It contains well over 100 topics, arranged alphabetically.
    4. It is written in a straightforward, matter-of-fact way, so that what husbands need to know is made clear, all in a very honoring, respectful manner.
    5. It closes with a short section called “The Story of a Father and a Son”—the good news of God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son, and how God solved our sin problem in Christ.
