Today I will be interviewing Dr. Alvin Haywood; He is an author and educator of 34 years who retired and has many more journeys as he continues to work with state legislation in California. He has helped reshape students’ reading and expectations in the classroom. In this episode, he will be sharing with us about his teaching journey and how he uses the ‘human approach’ that was not in the majority back then. He will also share some of the stories of his battle and transformation with cancer.
