To say I "broke the internet" with my post this week about not paying down my home may be an exaggeration. 

But I got more "hate-mail" and people showing general interest on this topic than any other before. And I get it. It's a hot button topic primarily because paying down your home is some of the most basic finance advice that parents have passed on.

Well,  that used to be good advice. Now the landscape has changed and it isn't necessarily the case depending on your financial footprint. It's definitely not the greatest option for me so I go through and explain how, with the same $500,000, I can earn $1.8M with it than paying down my house immediately.
