I will find the opportunity in each lesson.

I was talking with a friend who was distraught that they were always struggling in finding a good man to be in their life.  I reminded them that we don’t get what we want, we get what we focus on.  So when we continually focus on how it never works out, or we’re not good enough, or we won’t ever find someone worthy who will love us…we create an energy that diverts the things we want, away from us.  The energy we create by what we think, say, and do will either bring us closer to what we want or push us further away.  While my friend wasn’t where she wanted to be, I told her, “don’t go second guessin’ this blessin’.”  There was something purposeful going on, and I believed it was about loving herself first so she could allow the person who she would eventually end up with love her back as she needed.
