I confess I like rules. Rules make order. Order makes sense. It makes life easier — until it doesn’t. Then, it kills life.
I always thought the Pharisees got kind of a bad rap from Jesus. I mean, they were just trying to do the right thing, right? Except that their worship of the rules made them blind to love. They literally could not recognize God Himself standing right in front of them.
