Tom Molloy, Director of Public Affairs and Communications at Trinity College Dublin, former Group Business Editor with Independent News and Media, former Ireland Correspondent for Bloomberg and former Editor of the Kilkenny People Newspaper joined John to chat about the week in business and also provides an insightful analysis into the US Elections and the implications on business.

Amárach Research the Irish research company that uses surveys, focus groups, econometrics, workshops and social media analysis all aimed at unlocking the future for their clients have been working with the Government during Covid to see how Irish society is adapting and coping, Chairman of Amárach Gerard O’Neill,  joined John  to discuss this research as well as their recently released report “The Future is Local” which examines the impact of the pandemic on local attitudes and media habits. 

Business to Arts is a membership-based, charitable organisation that brokers, enables and supports creative partnerships between businesses, individuals and the arts, Andrew Hetherington CEO of Business to Arts spoke with John about the work that they do and how the year has been for the sector. Andrew also spoke about the Business to Arts Awards which is their flagship event which aims to raise awareness on how companies and individuals are supporting the arts across the country. The awards are now open for applications.

Shopping local is more important than ever these days, and Liam Patrick Kennedy along with his colleague Brian Manning have created a website called kilkennymarketplace.ie aimed at encouraging shoppers to shop local when shopping online. Liam Patrick spoke with John about the process of setting up the business and their plans for the future.
