But Phat’s president, Derrick Mains, says they struggled with the same challenges as any startup. Derrick’s been involved with more than 150 companies in his career, some wildly successful, some … not so much. He says there are more similarities between those that make it and those that don’t than you might expect. And he’s learned that the transition from struggling to succeeding can be instantaneous, and if you slack off before you reach that point, you never will.
