The Great British pound crashed to its lowest level ever. The U.K. went through four chancellors and three Prime Minister's. Taxes rose to their highest level in 70 years, real wages fell at the fastest rate in decades and inflation pushed up the cost of a typical Christmas dinner by 10%. Oh and to top it all off a wave of strikes brought the whole country to a standstill. But could there be light at the end of the tunnel in 2023? We discuss the reasons to be optimistic about the British economy in the new year.
