068: What to do when your new “positive” thought feels crappy

Have you ever told yourself a story in your head that made you feel absolutely terrible? It might have gone something like “I’m just terrible at this,” or “I’m so ugly,” or “I can’t do this.” Those words probably felt pretty crappy.

So then, you might have flipped it to the opposite, with something such as “I’m amazing at this,” or “I’m gorgeous,” or “I can do this.”

And again, it might have felt kinda icky… what’s up with that?!

The truth is when it comes to what you tell yourself, black and white is rarely the answer.

That’s why in the episode we’re talking about how shifting to grey is the way to go!
