Kevin Guidi has a Bachelor of Exercise Science degree, several fitness certifications, and has been a fitness professional at Rally Sport Health and Fitness in Boulder, CO for eleven years. He's passionate about pushing people to reach their fitness potential and beyond.
Motivation:
Once Kevin moved to rural Maine, he got into sports and found a passion for what sports can do for kids. Kevin's initial major, speech pathology, was cancelled his senior year at the University of Maine. Since he had been working as a trainer, he decided to pursue Exercise Science.
Challenges:
Kevin's a pretty big guy at 225 pounds. He's had to slowly build up his aerobic capacity with running to not only keep up with his wife but also to prepare for his first Tough Mudder race.
Passion for helping you:
Kevin talks about a client who came to him with the attitude of "tell me exactly what to do, and I'll do it". Not only did this client lose 110 pounds, but he also became a close friend of Kevin's. Kevin says, "when you can become a part of their life, it's more than just the few hours you see them in the weight room. It's about effecting them in so many other ways."
Nutrition:
If you're going to put food in your body put good food in it. I take a multivitamin, BCAA's pre and post workout to help not to lose muscle, fish oil for lowering cholesterol without any of the diabetes risks. Look for high quality because the FDA doesn't govern supplements. Rally Sport carries Poliquin Brand supplements.
