In this episode I interview Dr SY Quraishi, the Former Chief Election Commissioner of India. He has overseen the largest event in the world involving over 800 million voters (11 million civil servants), the Indian elections, which surpasses the participants in elections across all of Europe together. We discuss the challenges to this operation such as the geography of the land, the incredible diversity encountered, data breaches and fake news hindering the democratic process of elections. We also discuss recent predictions of communal violence by US National Intelligence Agency and his thoughts on the upcoming 2019 elections.
