Unless you live under a rock, and have for the past decade or so, then you know that Jordan Spieth is a professional golfer on the PGA Tour, and at just 29 years old he's a perennial contender for best in the world. So far he's amassed 13 PGA Tour victories, with 3 major wins, including the US Open and Masters in 2015 and the British Open in 2017. In watching Jordan throughout his career, I've always been so impressed with his poise, especially for a dude so young. He seems to have struck a brilliant balance between an "i'm gonna kick your ass out here" level of confidence and a gracious humility that allows him to be radically objective in evaluating his own game and bouncing back from set backs. He's wise beyond his years for sure. He's such a good dude, down to earth - fun to hang with and I'm extremely thankful to him for making the time to come on the show to chat with us. I'll tell ya up front, we had a really great discussion today. This honestly is one of, if not my favorite conversation on the show so far. We covered a lot of ground - from how his own childhood and how he was raised - which he largely attributes to his success on the course, to gearing up for the 2023 golf season in an RV with his wife and son Sammy, to fighting with his ego and separating his own self worth from his golf performance. We talked about what it is that drives him to be the best golfer he can be, what he wants his legacy to be with his kids and so much more. Like I said, this was a fun one. We covered a lot of ground. We went deep. We laughed, and I walked away with a few nuggets to carry with me as a husband and father. I hope you guys enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
